Lewis B. Breslau, Au.D.
Dr. Breslau founded Hearing Help Assoc., P.C. in 1988 with the first Hearing Help location in Bayside, Queens New York. Dr. Breslau received his Doctor of Audiology Degree from The University of Florida. His philosophy when establishing the practice has always been to provide Quality Hearing Help Care without compromise. After over two decades, thousands of satisfied patients have been able to once again enjoy a better quality of life through better hearing.
Hal Freed, Au.D.
Dr. Freed has been with Hearing Help Associates since 1999. He has been practicing since 1994, and was formerly Chief of Audiology at the Parker Institute of Long Island Jewish Hospital. Past president of the Audiology Study Group of New York City, Dr. Freed received his Master’s Degree in Audiology from Queens College and his Doctorate from University of Florida in Gainesville. He has helped thousands of patients in the Long Island area to hear well again.
Jennifer Occhiuto, Au.D.
Dr. Occhiuto has been practicing audiology for 12 years. She received her doctorate in audiology from Salus University in 2007, and completed her undergraduate studies and Master’s program locally at St. John's University. Her expertise is in adult aural rehabilitation and the fitting of hearing aids. Dr. Occhiuto has helped thousands of patients in the Long Island area to hear well again.
Kimberly Shapiro, Au.D.
Dr. Shapiro received her Master’s Degree from Hunter College, New York in 1998. She received her doctorate from The Arizona School of Health Sciences. Dr. Shapiro is licensed in the state of New York to practice as a certified Audiologist and to dispense hearing aids. Her specific areas of expertise are in diagnostic testing which include complete audiological evaluations, videonystagmography and auditory brainstem testing. Dr. Shapiro has been working for the past 11 years counseling and rehabilitating patients’ with hearing loss. For almost eight years she ran a private hearing aid center in Riverdale, New York and was also the senior audiologist at a large head and neck surgical group in Manhattan, New York. Dr. Shapiro is completely passionate about her work, entirely knowledgeable in her field as well as totally well respected by her colleagues.
Jonathan S. Getreu, M.A., CCC-A, FAAA
Jonathan S. Getreu earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College and his Masters in Audiology from Hofstra University. Jonathan is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Jonathan says, “I strive to provide an atmosphere of comfort and support that is conducive to educating my patients and their loved ones."
Judith Pierce, M.A., CCC-A
Judith Pierce has been working in the audiology field for over 23 years. She received her degree in audiology from St. John's University. Judith has worked with the V.A., in private practice, and as supervising audiologist in the NYC school system. Judith says, "There is nothing more gratifying then knowing that you have the ability to improve the quality of life, not only for those with hearing loss, but for those around them.”
Dr. Constance Metropulos, Au.D.
Dr. Metropulos completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and received her doctorate in audiology from Northeastern University. She has trained at nationally recognized hospitals including the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Metropulos specializes in adult diagnostic testing and aural rehabilitation.
Dr. Romina Seferian, Au.D.
Dr. Seferian is a Board Certified Audiologist who has been helping patients for over nine years. She earned her Undergraduate and Graduate degrees from Hofstra University and her Doctorate degree from Salus University School of Audiology. She completed her fellowship at North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical. Dr. Seferian is dedicated to improving the lives of her patients by utilizing the best in state of the art technology and aural rehabilitative skills.
Carolyn Barton, Au.D. CCC-A
Dr. Barton has been a practicing audiologist for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Florida with a clinical doctorate in Audiology. Dr. Barton is a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and New York State Speech, Language and Hearing Association (NYSSLHA). Her areas of expertise are diagnostic audiologic testing, aural rehabilitation, and amplification.
Nancy A. McGee, M.A., CCC-A, FAAA
Nancy McGee received her Master’s Degree in Audiology from the University of Connecticut and completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is licensed by the State of New York to practice as a certified Audiologist and to dispense hearing aids. She has presented short courses on assistive devices for the hearing impaired population. She spent many years working in Manhattan and in hospital settings and has tremendous experience in the areas of aural rehabilitation and the fitting of hearing aids. After over two decades, thousands of satisfied patients have been able to once again enjoy a better quality of life through better hearing. She is well respected by her colleagues, the medical community and her patients.
